About a year ago we treated ourselves to a Sundance 980 Lisbon whirlpool - a premium model with a sophisticated water purification system. Chlorine was used for disinfection - with very moderate success despite UVC and ozone system on board. The chlorine was not added for 2-3 days and the water was already tilting, there was a lot of foam formation and biofilm in the pipes, so that the foam bubbles piled up and left a greasy heel at the edge of the pool. Countermeasure: chlorine shock treatment again and again with a very short-lived success.
This pretty much ruined the fun of our spa - when my wife got another skin rash, we decided to try SpaBalancer. We have been using it for about 3 weeks now and we are thrilled. The water picture is improving more and more, the foam formation has decreased considerably and the water smells wonderfully fresh.
