Is SpaBalancer suitable for wooden hot tubs with stainless steel ovens? -- F068

Are SpaBalancer Basic and Ultrashock also suitable as an additive for wooden tubs made of 100% wood? There is a stainless steel stove in the wooden hot tub - how does the water treatment work with it?

Answer:
You can certainly use SpaBalancer Basic and SpaBalancer Ultrashock for a wooden hot tub. You should pay attention to these things:
If the wooden tub has no filter system, you may only use SpaBalancer Ultrashock. This is because SpaBalancer Basic would encapsulate the dirt particles, which would then remain in the water as they cannot be filtered out. As a result, the water would become milky.
If you only use SpaBalancer Ultrashock for water care, make sure that there is always at least 0.3 to 0.5 mg/l Ultrashock in the water.

If the wooden tub has a filter system, you can use SpaBalancer Basic and SpaBalancer Ultrashock. However, since the wood of a tub contains a lot of organic dirt, we recommend using twice the amount of SpaBalancer Ultrashock and half the amount of SpaBalancer Basic - based on the amount specified in the operating instructions. This dosage causes the organic dirt to oxidise more and encapsulate less. This relieves the filters and reduces the risk of clouding of the water.

There is no risk of corrosion for the stainless steel oven. SpaBalancer Basic is in no way corrosive and SpaBalancer Ultrashock is almost not corrosive at all. If you change the water every six months, this has no effect on the stainless steel.
