If I don’t use my Softub for three days, a smooth film develops on the bottom. If I move my hand over it, it disappears. What is this?
SpaBalancer encapsulates foreign matter at the molecular level.
The smooth film is composed of these encapsulated foreign substances. This is because the Softub only filters when it heats up. When using SpaBalancer, 6 hours of filtration are needed per day. In summer it filters for less than an hour. For this reason, the encapsulated foreign substance sinks to the bottom and forms this film. Since you cannot lengthen the filtering time of a Softub, I would recommend the additional weekly use of SpaBalancer Ultrashock. Ultrashock oxidizes these encapsulated foreign substances and through oxidation they disappear. Between 20 and 40ml of Ultrashock per week should be sufficient. This depends heavily on the thickness of the coating in the Softub.
