Is SpaBalancer skin-friendly?

Answer:
Many people complain of skin problems when using their hot tubs. These skin problems are almost always caused by the disinfectants used. Our SpaBalancer cleaning system is 100% skin-friendly – we’ve had it tested. The test was conducted by the proDerm Institute for Applied Dermatological Research.

For the study, 22 subjects were tested against 5 different samples over a period of 6 days.

Sample 1 - Test series A = Pure tap water
Sample 2 - Test series B = Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (dilution 0.3% - positive sample. All skin types react to this substance)
Sample 3 - Test series C = SpaBalancer (dilution 40 ml / 1000 liters)
Sample 4 - Test series D = UltraShock (dilution 40 ml / 1000 liters)
Sample 5 - Test series E = mixture of UltraShock and SpaBalancer (1:1 mixture)

Study results: test subjects showed no reaction to either SpaBalancer, UltraShock or the mixture of SpaBalancer and UltraShock. Consequently, this indicates that the skin’s toleration of SpaBalancer and Ultrashock is identical to that of fresh drinking water.
